About Miami Transplant Institute Diagnostic and Treatment Center at Plantation

The Miami Transplant Institute is now even closer to our patient community and families in Broward County and surrounding regions. The new Miami Transplant Institute Diagnostic and Treatment Center at Plantation serves as an outpatient clinic for pre- and post-kidney and liver patients who reside in Broward County and neighboring areas, such as Palm Beach County and Florida’s west coast.

Patients travel from around the country and world to seek out our team’s advanced and compassionate care, and we are proud to bring that a little closer to home for residents of Broward, Palm Beach, and beyond. Patients and families benefit greatly by gaining access to the newest, most advanced, most effective treatments and procedures we provide.

Our new Plantation center opened in August 2020 to the public with COVID-19 safety measures implemented and designed to protect staff and families. MTI plans to expand services at the center to pediatric patients, and other patients who have had other organ transplants – such as heart and lung transplants – in the future. The center is conveniently located near four main highways – Florida’s Turnpike, I-95, I-75, and I-595.

Highlights

Living Donor Program

Almost anyone with two healthy kidneys can donate one to a patient in need. While you only have one liver, you can still donate a portion of this organ, which typically grows back to its normal size.
