The Miami Transplant Institute: Pioneering the Future of Transplantation

With a more than 50-year history of performing groundbreaking organ transplantations, the Miami Transplant Institute (MTI) is not only one of the largest and most comprehensive transplant centers in the United States, but also a beacon of hope for patients worldwide. Our commitment to innovation continues to be at the forefront of our operations, propelling us into exciting new fields, while our multidisciplinary team continuously refines and advances their knowledge in transplant medicine.

Innovative Options for Cancer Treatment

MTI now offers new hope for patients with cancer. Through organ transplantation, transplant oncology aims to partially or completely replace cancer cells with healthy tissue from a donor, allowing patients to regain organ function, or have their cancers go into complete remission. Patients with cholangiocarcinoma, hepatocellular carcinoma, or unresectable metastatic colon cancer to the liver can now be treated outside of the previous criteria, and be considered for a liver transplant.

Robotics

At MTI, our team of experienced transplant surgeons is highly skilled in performing robotic transplantation surgery. Our approach integrates our surgeons’ expertise with the preciseness and accuracy of robotic technology to provide our patients with the highest quality of care.
